Begin your day to the melodies of avian songs. Embark on a hike towards Chachabamba, journeying through the verdant realms of the cloud forest. Itinerary

Day 1Cusco - Km 104 - Wiñay Wayna - Machu Picchu

From your hotel in Cusco, we’ll whisk you away to the train station a journey of 2 hours to Olantaytambo, setting the stage for a picturesque 1 hour 14-minute train journey to km 104. Here, we’ll cross the enchanting Urubamba river and embark on a guided exploration of the Chachabamba archaeological marvel. As we ascend, each step unveils more breathtaking panoramas.

As our journey progresses, we’ll delve into the heart of the neo-tropical cloud forest. This realm is alive with the delicate beauty of orchids, the harmonious calls of various birds, and the mesmerizing sight of cascading waterfalls. Three hours into our hike, we’re greeted by the magnificence of Wiñaywayna, an Inca site that stands as a testament to impeccable preservation and raw beauty.

Immerse yourself in a guided exploration of this wonder, after which a well-deserved lunch awaits. Post lunch, our trek continues for another couple of hours, leading us to the iconic Sun Gate at Machu Picchu. Here, a glorious sunset paints the sky, a moment to truly cherish. As the sun dips, we’ll head on a bus journey to Aguas Calientes, where a cozy hostel beckons for the night’s rest.

Day 2Machu Picchu - Cusco

Early morning we’ll take one of the first buses back up to Machu Picchu we’ll have 2-hours guided tour, you will visit all the most important areas of the citadel.

You will also have time to indulge in a few of the following activities on your own if you choose (not included in the price).

Climb up Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain and appreciate the beauty and magnificence of Machu Picchu from there.

Back to Cusco: You will descend to Aguas Calientes by bus and later board the Expedition train to Ollantaytambo Train Station “Train departure time can vary according train schedule and availability”. In Ollantaytambo Train station you will meet our private van and be transferred to your hotel in Cusco.

Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountains hike depends on availability; please let us know if you want to add one of these extra hikes at the time of your booking.
